Hi, I’m Liselle!
(Think Giselle but with an “L”) I found yoga for the same reason many people find yoga - to reconnect with myself.
I’ve spent the last 20 years as a professional dancer and in 2016, I was involved in a car accident that left me unable to dance for months. The physical trauma from the accident and the emotional trauma from a recent uncoupling had left me feeling so disconnected that I needed something to help me re-align and come back to myself. Cue the chiropractor with the free membership to the local yoga studio.
I started going to the yoga studio every day, sometimes even twice a day. I fell in love with everything about it - the sense of support from a community even though they barely knew me, the space to listen in and process my emotions through physical movement, and the freedom to show up exactly how I am, the good, the bad, and everything in between.
I loved the relationship I was developing with myself and noticing how it positively impacted my relationships, I decided I wanted to create that for others. So in 2017 I decided to expand my passion for movement and received my 200 hr yoga certification. Since then I’ve taught over 1,000 classes across San Francisco, Denver, New York, and now San Diego and have also added some different movement modalities to my tool belt: HIIT, cardio, & Lagree.
I believe that consciously creating connections with ourselves and others can help us to see ourselves and the whole, wonderful beings that we are and I want to hold that space for you - to come back to yourself and discover the powerful things that can happen when you listen in, think less, and feel more.
